Optima™ Floor Mounted Fume Hoods

Floor mounted hoods are used where the dimensions of the apparatus exceed what can be accommodated in a bench mounted fume hood or where the weight involved precludes placing the apparatus on a bench top. These general purpose floor mounted fume hoods are supplied with the following features:

  • Designed for 80-100 feet per minute face velocities
  • Suitable for CAV or VAV applications
  • Available in a variety of configurations
  • Durable chain and sprocket sash system or stainless steel cable system
  • Available with various sash configurations and liner materials
  • Stainless steel exhaust collar
  • Pre-wired LED lighting
  • Factory pre-plumbing an available option
  • UL 1805 Classified, CSA certified to UL 61010 and tested in accordance with ASHRAE 110

Tri-Access Door System

The Spencer-Virnoche Pivot™ offers unparalleled fume hood chamber access and efficiency in equipment set-up and teardown situations. Designed for Pro Series floor mounted fume hoods with horizontal sliding sashes.

Convenience

Fume hoods 72” wide and larger receive two hinged doors; maximum hood width 120” wide. Supplied with traditional horizontal sliding sashes and additional smaller horizontal sashes in each glass panel.

Fully Accessible

Slide one horizontal sash fully to the side of the hood. Disengage the quick release latch and the door pivots to a fully open condition. Repeat with the second horizontal sash. Contact Spencer-Virnoche for more information on this option including airflow details.
